THE COACHING PROCESS
Order is Important
My coaching process is much like the nursing process that I learned in nursing school. It's abbreviated ADPIE and stands for Assessment, Diagnoses, Planning, Implementation, and Evaluation. This is cyclical process so when it is completed, we repeat to create further progress.

For financial coaching it will look like this:
Assessment - Discuss your financial situation, struggles, and strengths
Diagnosis - Identify areas where coaching could help you succeed
Planning - Create a plan for making those changes
Implementation - Complete coaching sessions focused on making those changes
Evaluation - Discuss progress and challenges and adjust as needed

COACHING CONTENT

Coaching Focuses on You
The content of financial coaching will vary by the person, but there are some common themes.

Budgeting - Learning to create, utilize, and stick to a budget that has spaces for wants and needs
Debt Pay Off - Identifying all debts and creating a realistic plan to pay them off
Saving - Creating savings for emergencies and priorities such as kids college, home purchase, and retirement (investment advice is beyond the scope of a financial coach)
Money Mindset - Challenging views about scarcity, needs vs wants, shopping to relieve stress, and contentment
Money Partnerships and Accountability - Finding accountability for spending for singles and married couples. Identify trends in handling money including challenges with those trends.
